SECURITY The Board is committed to providing a secure environment for staff and students while providing an atmosphere of openness for the encouragement of collegiate activity at college controlled facilities. The two must be balanced by controls on access that are designed to provide secure college facilities. The college is committed to working with community agencies to reduce the opportunity for criminal/anti-social activities. The Public Safety Department shall be primarily responsible for carrying out the mandates of the college regulations and the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act. END OF POLICY Legal Reference:
