MHCC Leadership Institute
A series of seminars that provide the tools to create effective supervisors,
managers and leaders
In a recent survey of East Multnomah County businesses, leadership training was noted as the most pressing training need today. This series of eight 4 hour courses is designed to give your organization’s managers the skills and tools to become exemplary team leaders.
These seminars offer several advantages over other training options:
-
Effectiveness: compared to “canned” one-day seminars offered by traveling classes, these courses will be flexible enough to cater to the specific needs and concerns of the participants. And the small class sizes will ensure maximum attention for each participant.
-
Convenience: each session is held over a four hour period rather than a full day so the participants are not away from the office for an entire day.
-
Cost effective: As a community college, MHCC is driven by its charter to support the community, not generating large profits. These classes are being offered at the most modest rate possible to allow as many participants as possible the opportunity to attend them.

Who should attend this series?
These seminars are appropriate for any leader in business or the community who wants to develop or refine their interpersonal skills to become a more effective leader, regardless of their level of experience.
Will attending just one or two of the individual classes be effective?
While it is possible to attend individual seminars and gain knowledge and techniques that will be invaluable in the workplace, these seminars have been designed as an interconnected series: each building on the materials from the previous classes. It is strongly recommended that the entire series be attended to insure you receive the full benefit of the program.
