GED/Adult High School Diploma Graduation Ceremony:
Commencement will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 12, 2008 in the College Stadium, rain or shine. Graduates will assemble for the procession in the gymnasium no later than 6:30 p.m.
Cap & Gown Information:
Students may purchase their cap and gown for $26.99 beginning May 1 through June 12, 2008, in the College Bookstore. Hours available for purchasing are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Where is the ceremony held?
The graduation is held at the Mt. Hood Community College Earl L. Klapstein Track and Field Stadium (17th and Kane St.). This is on the north edge of the campus.
What exactly happens at graduation?
The program is similar to other graduation ceremonies: students and faculty file to their seats; there are several short speeches welcoming the graduates and their guests; the students cross the stage and receive a certificate folder. Graduates pick-up their certificates immediately after the ceremony.
How long will graduation last?
Graduates must arrive by 6:15 p.m. The ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14th and lasts approximately one hour.
What about pictures?
Graduates and their families often want a photograph as a souvenir of the evening. A professional photographer will take a picture of each student who crosses the stage, and a proof will be sent to the student who can purchase pictures as he/she chooses. Family and friends should remain seated, but they may take snapshots from their seats.
I cant come to the graduation. Can I still get a GED certificate?
Your official G.E.D. certificate comes from the Oregon State Department of Education. If you cant attend the graduation, but want to receive a Mt. Hood Community College certificate, you must submit your request in writing to MHCC-AHSCLP, 26000 SE Stark St., Gresham, OR 97030. Be sure to include your current mailing address.
What about rehearsal?
There is NO REHEARSAL for the graduation ceremony. Therefore, please arrive by 6:15 p.m. You will be given instructions when you arrive. Experienced marshals will guide you to your seats.
