Jack is the full-time director of the Televison Production Technology Program. He grew up in northwest Montana, he received a BS in motion picture production from Montana State University, and worked the next 12 years in that state's television industry. He produced daily news casts for the Eagle Communication network and also managed a production department for the Montana Television Network's affiliate, KPAX-TV in Missoula. In 1987 as a member of the Missoula City Council he helped negotiate that city's first cable franchise which also established its first community TV center. He moved to Gresham in 1988 to oversee the Community Television Grant, teach in and coordinate the Community TV program at Mt. Hood Community College. He has been the lead instructor and coordinator for the Television Production Technology Program since 1997. His production work has been honored with state, regional and national awards. Jack is a certified Apple Pro trainer. In addition to teaching many of the Television/Video Production courses, he works closely with JD Kiggins and Chris Maier to develop and teach the Integrated Media curriculum.
Linda Kliewer
Linda Kliewer teaches critical first year video production classes, Fundamentals of Digital Video Acquisition and Editing Digital Video. She team teaches second year Advanced Digital Acquisition and Editing. She is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who has made film/video and still images for over 25 years. Linda is an active video and installation artist whose work is archived in the Visual Chronicle of Portland, and has been screened at the Sundance Film Festival (Audience Award Winner) and at the Portland Documentary and Experimental Film Festival. Her work, both still and video, has been published and exhibited nationally and internationally (Chicago, New York, Paris and Belgrade, Serbia). Linda also teaches video and video installation at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in the Intermedia Department. She holds a BFA from the University of Virginia in Studio Art.
