 Coach Lena Chan Directs The Saints To The Second
First Place Trophy In Five Years As Head Coach!!!

For the second time in five seasons as Mt. Hood's Head Volleyball Coach, Lena Chan has led the Saints to the NWAACC Volleyball Championship. Mt. Hood decimated the field in Spokane this past weekend as they defeated Spokane, Whatcom, Walla Walla and Clackamas each by 3 games to zero in their best of five matches to earn the right to play for the Championship on Sunday evening. Clackamas emerged from the loser's bracket to challenge MHCC again.

(The NWAACC Championships are a true double elimination tournament) The Saints defeated the Cougars by scores of 30-25, 30-21, 27-30 and 30-25 to claim the championship. The team erupted into a celebration as the match point was scored.

Named to the All-Tournament 2nd Team was Chy Crichton. Rashelle Davenport and Kim Carter were selected to the 1st team while Jamie Richards was named the Tournament MVP. Coach Lena Chan was voted NWAACC Tournament Coach-of-the-Year.
