New Student Orientation - 503-491-7301
Offered each fall a week before the fall quarter begins. Students will tour the campus and have an opportunity to talk with instructors and program advisors and learn more about many of the programs offered at MHCC.

Take the free College Placement Test (or the LOEP if you are not a native English speaker) to help you determine what classes to take.
Academic Advising & Transfer Center - 503-491-7315
Each new student is assigned an academic adviser to provide help in planning term class schedules and degree completion.
HD 100 College Success - 1 credit
This course is designed to enhance student success by developing knowledge of college resources and creating an educational plan.
EL 115 College Study Skills - 3 credits
This course is for students who want to improve study skills. Topics covered include time management, memory, note taking, textbook reading and test taking.

high school. Services include information, advising, tours, help applying for
financial aid, and other resources!

If you are definitely planning to obtain a bachelor’s degree and are eligible
for this program, you may obtain help to successfully start at MHCC and transfer
later to a 4-year university. Services include advising, campus visits, and
help with tutoring.
