Chelsey Ramos
G 5’8’’ Nyssa, Oregon |

Coming off an Oregon 3A State Championship season, Chelsey joins the Saints from Nyssa High School in eastern Oregon. During her senior season, Chelsey was a 1st Team All State, 1st Team All League, and 1st Team All State Tournament selection. As a junior, she was also an All State Honorable Mention and a 1st Team All League selection. As a member of the Nyssa “Fab Five”, Chelsey helped lead her team to a 10-1 record down the stretch of the season and into the playoffs to capture the State Championship. During her senior State Tournament, Chelsey averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.3 steals per game while logging an average of 28 minutes of playing time per game. |

Jacki Cunningham
F 6’0’’ Scappoose, Oregon |
Jacki comes to Mt. Hood from Scappoose High School where she was a 2007 All State Honorable Mention as well as a 1st Team All League Cowapa selection. During her junior season, Jacki also earned 1st Team All League Cowapa recognition. As a major contributor for her high school team, Jacki helped Scappoose to back to back 4th place trophies in the State Tournament during her junior and senior seasons. During her senior year State Tournament games, Jacki averaged 7.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. |

With both the ability to play with her back to the basket and also step out to the three point line, she will be a great asset to our team. Alisha Crane
F 5’11’’ Glenns Ferry, Idaho |

Making the trip across the border into Oregon this season to join Mt. Hood is Alisha Crane. While playing for Glenns Ferry High School, Alisha ranked 10th in the State of Idaho in points scored during the 2006-2007 season, averaging 15.8 ppg. She was also the third leading rebounder in the state, averaging 10.9 rebounds per game. |
| “Alisha has amazing athletic ability that allows her to do some special things on the basketball court. She is a tremendous rebounder, both offensively and defensively, and runs the floor very fast for someone of her height. On the offensive end, she attacks the basket very aggressively and is always a threat to score. Alisha is that type of player who can get you a double-double on a consistent basis.” - Coach Davis |
Marcie Garcia
G 5’6’’ Myrtle Creek, Oregon |

Joining the Saints from South Umpqua High School is Marcie Garcia who is a 5’6’’ combo guard. Marcie was a 2nd Team All League Far West selection in 2007 and earned an All League Honorable Mention in the Far West league in 2006. As a senior at South Umpqua, Marcie shot 32% from the three point line, averaged 5.9 points per game, 3.3 rebounds and also compiled 42 steals, 96 deflections, and 39 assists. |
| “Having someone with Marcie’s ability to play both the point guard and the shooting guard position is great. Her quickness and defensive abilities will fit perfectly into what we try to do within our system at Mt. Hood. With her ability to shoot both the three pointer as well as the mid range pull up shot, Marcie brings us a versatile game on the offensive end of the floor and a tough minded defensive attitude at the other end.” - Coach Davis |

Tiffany Bennett
G 5’4’’ Dillingham, Alaska |
Coming to the Saints from the wintry state of Alaska is 5’4’’ guard Tiffany Bennett. Tiffany, a 2006-2007 Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee comes from Dillingham High School where as starting guard during her senior year, she averaged 20 points per game. Tiffany graduated with a 3.87 GPA and plans to study nursing at Mt. Hood. |
| “Tiffany is one of those special players who, on any night, can just explode and drop 15 or 20 points on the opponent. Her shooting and quickness will give us some great speed on the perimeter and a lot of support from behind the three point line. Tiffany has a passion for the game that you cannot teach, and that passion will carry her through her career at Mt. Hood and beyond” - Coach Davis |
Kara Hiatt
G 5’7’’ Vale, Oregon |

Also making the trip from the eastern side of the state to Mt. Hood this season will be Kara Hiatt who joins the Saints from Vale High School. At Vale, Kara was a 1st Team All League Eastern Oregon player as well as a 2nd Team All State 3A selection. Kara helped her high school team earn 4th and 5th place trophies during her junior and senior years. During her senior State Tournament games, Kara averaged 12.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game and was also selected to the 1st Team All Tournament team. |
| “Kara brings us that athletic lock down defender that every team needs. Not only is Kara a great defensive player but she also has the ability to score, rebound, and distribute on offense. She’s a very complete and well rounded player that will be able to play multiple positions for us and really contribute as a freshman.” - Coach Davis |

Alexandra Melonson
G 5’7’’ Las Vegas, NV |
Alex joins the Mt. Hood Women’s team coming from Rancho High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a senior at Rancho, Alex helped lead her team to a 24-8 record, which included an 11-1 finish in league as Northeast Division champions as well as a 2nd place finish in the Sunrise Regional. During her senior year, Alex averaged 15.8 ppg, led her team in assists (4.3 p/g) and steals (4.6 p/g). These were all improvements from her junior year in which she averaged 13.6 points, 3.4 assists, and 4.2 steals per game. |
| “Alex is a phenomenal talent on both ends of the floor. Her scoring ability will bring us another threat on the offensive end who cannot be given any room to shoot. Defensively, Alex is very quick and anticipates her opponent’s moves allowing her to play passing lanes and play active help defense. She is also someone who is selfless and willing to pass the ball when a teammate has a scoring opportunity, which makes her a very well rounded player that will excel in our program.” - Coach Davis |
Kathryn Beus
F 6’1’’ Boise, Idaho |

Coming to Mt. Hood from Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho, Kathryn will bring height to the Saints rotation this season. During her senior season at Centennial, Kathryn’s team placed 6th at the 5A State Championships in Idaho. Over the course of the season, Kathryn averaged 5 points and 5 rebounds per game. |

Her size and athleticism are something you can’t coach and to have someone with her ability and potential on your team is a blessing. We have high hopes for Kathryn this season and believe she can bring a lot to the team in a variety of ways.
