2006-2007 Review
The Saints Of Mt. Hood Are Back!
2006 Women’s Cross Country
The women’s team has arisen from nonexistence in the 2005 season
to a 2nd place in the Southern Region Championships and a 3rd place finish
in the NWAACC Championships. Mt. Hood’s Sheryl Page was the individual
Southern Region Champion and was a junior college All-American as she
was also the individual NWAACC Champion. Amber Glunt was second, behind
Sheryl, in the Southern Region and became an All-American with her 3rd
place finish at the NWAACC Championships.

2006 Men’s Cross Country
Still going through a rebuilding phase, Mt. Hood had signed many state
and district champions out of high schools from around the Northwest
only to have many of them end up at four year colleges and universities.
Despite a little bad luck, Mt. Hood’s men battled to a 4th
place finish at the Southern Region Championships and a 6th place
finish at the NWAACC Championships. |

2007 Women’s Track & Field

very talented women of Mt. Hood had TEN 1st place finishes during the

2007 Men’s Track & Field
A year ago in 2006, the men’s team had one Junior College All-American
(Matt Lariza was 3rd place in the Triple Jump). In 2007 the men had SIX
All-American performances including THREE championship performances.
As a team, the Saints went from 3rd place (in 2006) to 2nd place in the
2007 Southern Region Championships. They went from 7th (in 2006) to 4th
in the 2007 NWAACC Championships. Life-time personal record performances
were prevalent throughout the two day meet. The future of the Saints
is very bright as the upcoming team looks to be loaded with talent.
