President's "Listening Tours"
To understand what our community expects from Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC), we will host numerous Listening Tours at locations throughout our Colleges service region over the next several months. We will invite business, community, government, education and elected leaders along with economic development officials, current and former students, residents and other individuals to help us understand the most pressing issues facing our area and region and determine how to respond to the unmet needs of our communities. These sessions will ensure we are a market-driven educational institution as we revise our planning documents.
Currently, we are confirming locations throughout our service region; however, if you are interested in hosting one of these sessions, please contact June Jacobs at june.jacobs@mhcc.edu or 503-491-7210. We will post times and locations when they become available. We will also post summary notes as we engage our community in this process.
I will personally facilitate each of these sessions to better understand how MHCC can improve the services it provides to our stakeholders. If you and others are unable to attend these sessions, a dedicated e-mail address, ourmhcc@mhcc.edu, is being launched to collect comments from residents of MHCC's service region (and beyond). I want to encourage submission of all comments, since we desire to enhance the role we play in changing lives and destinies in our communities and beyond.
So, what can MHCC do, or do better, to contribute to your success and that of the communities we serve? Please share your thoughts during one of the Listening Tour sessions or send us an e-mail.
Thank you for your support of your favorite community college, MHCC!
