Nutrition
We serve family style meals, including breakfast, lunch and snack. Breakfast is served at 8:15, lunch is served between 11:10 and 12:00 (depending on the classroom) and snack is served between 2:00 and 2:30. Our goal is to help children develop healthy eating habits, with an emphasis on whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and low-fat dairy products and proteins. We encourage children to learn to serve themselves and to participate in mealtime conversation.
With young children in our care, we pay close attention to the safety of the food we provide. To prevent choking hazards, food is cut into appropriate sized pieces, and we do not serve items such as hot dogs, popcorn or hard pretzels.

If your child has special nutrition needs or food allergies, please ask about how we can work with your family. Vegetarian alternatives are provided upon request.
Menus are prepared according to the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program. They are posted and made available for families to take home or to review, and are also kept on file at the center.
