Definitions

Disability-

A physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities.

Major Life Activities-

Include, but are not limited to caring for oneself, speaking, walking, seeing, hearing, breathing, and learning.

Substantially Limited -

Unable to perform or significantly restricted as compared to persons without such a disability.

A Person with a Disability-

One who meets one or more of the following criteria:

  1. Has a physical or mental impairment
  2. Has a record of such an impairment, or
  3. Is regarded as having such impairment

Reasonable Accommodation-

Is an accommodation that does not result in a significant alteration of the position, program or activity or incur undue financial and administrative burdens..
