Career Pathways - Welding

  • Do you like to work with metal and machinery?
  • Do you have good coordination, mobility, and eyesight?
  • Can you stand on your feet for a long time and lift heavy objects?

If you say yes, then welding could be a good career for you!

Classes will be November 30th, 2009 to June 11, 2010.

This half-year program provides training to help you gain the skills for an entry-level position as a welder. When you complete the training, you can look for work right away. You can also continue to study for a degree in Integrated Metals while you are working.

  • Tuition assistance and scholarships are available.
  • Learn how to weld, read blueprints and fabricate metal.
  • Improve your English skills (intermediate-level English required for entry)
  • Prepare for American Welding Society certification exams.
  • You will receive job placement help.
