You Need to Know …
Wait list: If a class is full you may choose to be placed on a wait list. If a space becomes available, you will be officially added to the class and billed by the College for tuition and fees. You are financially responsible for payment by the stated due date. If you no longer want the class, it is your responsibility to drop it by the refund date. To check your status on the wait list and refund dates, check your quarterly schedule or call 503-491-7393.
If you are not added to the class from the waiting list, obtain a Signature Add form in the Admissions and Records Office. Attend the first class, and identify yourself to the instructor as having been on the wait list. If space becomes available the instructor may sign the Signature Add form. Take the signed Signature Add form to the Admissions and Records Office within 5 working days for processing. You will not be added to the class if it creates a time conflict. The drop with a refund deadline for most standard length classes is the second Friday of the term.
Repeating classes: Touch-Tone registration will warn you if you are repeating a class. You may still register for the class regardless of the warning. Prerequisites: Many credit classes require prerequisites. Prerequisites are coursework or experience that must be completed prior to registering for a particular course. If a course has a prerequisite, it will be printed with the course in the quarterly schedule and in the college catalog. If you register for a class that has an unmet prerequisite, you may be required to bring your transcripts to your instructor on the first day of class for verification in order to remain in the class. If you have questions, call the Touch-Tone Help line at 503-491-6488.
