CASCADIA REGION GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL The Cascadia Region Green Building Council promotes the design, construction
and operation of buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable
and healthy places to live and work in Oregon, Washington and British
Columbia. The Cascadia Region Green Building Council is one of the inaugural
chapters of the U.S. and Canada Green Building Councils. Incorporated
in December 1999, the chapter covers Oregon,
Washington
and British
Columbia, and is the only cross border chapter in North America.
By June 2005, the chapter had 650 members, mostly companies or agencies
that in turn represent hundreds or even thousands of individuals interested
in a better way of building. Cascadia has offices in Portland and Seattle
and plans to open a Vancouver office this year. |
