Intro to Business Computing
- Su/F/W/Sp Real world, state-of-the-art, and relevant to future course work will be the hallmarks of this 4-credit hour course that introduces computer software applications (level one of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) for business documentation, data analysis, and database creation, storage and retrieval. Students will first assess their skills using the innovative software SAM (Skill Assessment Manager). Then these skills will be applied to common business scenarios. Prerequisite: Student should have an email address, experience with computers, experience with the Windows operating system, and the Internet. Keyboarding skill of 20 words per minute. Proficiency Needed: Reading, Writing, Math.
