The Geography of the Pacific Rim
- Sp (alternate years) This course is offered every other year. It explores the Pacific Rim from the geographical perspective. This includes an exploration of the varying history, culture, economics, international trade links, politics, international relations, transportation systems, pollution and natural environments and hazards of this portion of our world. Specific topics focus on: descriptions of the various countries of the Pacific Basin and the importance of international trade to them, as well as the history of past conflict and prospects for future political problems in this important global economic crossroads.
