The Geography of the U.S. and Canada
- F (alternate years) This is an area studies course covering the United States and Canada, which is offered every other year and approaches things from a geographic perspective. That perspective explores what a region is like at present, asks how it came to be that way and what it may look like in the future. This class will provide the student with information regarding the physical and cultural geography of this portion of North America. Specific topics include discussions on historic geography, population distribution and diversity, urban and transportation systems, political considerations, natural resources and an examination of environmental concerns.
