The Geography of the U.S. and Canada
|
- F (alternate years) This is an area studies course covering the United
States and Canada, which is offered every other year and approaches things from
a geographic perspective. That perspective explores what a region is like at
present, asks how it came to be that way and what it may look like in the
future. This class will provide the student with information regarding the
physical and cultural geography of this portion of North America. Specific
topics include discussions on historic geography, population distribution and
diversity, urban and transportation systems, political considerations, natural
resources and an examination of environmental concerns.
