Western Civilization: Medieval and Early Modern Europe

- W HST102 is an introductory survey of European history from the High Middle
Ages, circa 1000 C.E., to circa 1750 C.E. in the early modern era. Topics to be
covered include the role of the Catholic Church in Medieval Europe, European
interactions with the Muslim Arab and Turkish worlds, the Renaissance, the
Reformation, the age of Exploration and Overseas Conquest, the Enlightenment,
and the beginnings of the scientific and industrial revolutions.
