History of Vietnam War

- W This course is an introductory survey of Vietnamese history with an
emphasis on the U.S. - Vietnamese War. Topics include the first evidence of the
Vietnamese peoples in Southeast Asia; Vietnamese struggles for independence
against outside rulers including China and France; United States involvement
in Vietnam from 1945 to 1975; and the Cold War, which set the framework for
decisions American policymakers made regarding Vietnam.
