Intro to Physical Therapy

- F This course provides an introduction to the field of
physical therapy and the role of the physical therapist assistant within the
health care delivery system. The course surveys the historical developments
leading to current medical and physical therapy practice and various factors
both internal and external to the profession that have precipitated change in
the way medical care is delivered and reimbursed. The course also covers the
mission and goals of the professional organization, standards of practice, laws
and regulation, and licensure requirements for PT's and PTA's.
