- F This course covers the pathology and management of orthopedic conditions
of the lower extremity. Discussion includes the pathology and management of
arthritis, collagen diseases, cancer, peripheral nerve disorders and spinal
cord injury. Discussion also includes epidemiological factors (incidence,
risk factors and outcomes), prevention, common diagnostic procedures, and
medical surgical management of these pathologies. Students will explore
rehabilitation strategies to address impairments, functional limitations and
disabilities for these conditions.
