- W This course covers the pathology and management of developmental
disorders, stroke, head injury, dementia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, AIDS
and various neurological conditions commonly seen in physical therapy practice.
Discussion includes epidemiological factors (incidence, risk factors and
outcomes), prevention, common diagnostic procedures, and medical/surgical
management. Students explore rehabilitation strategies to address
impairments, functional limitations and disabilities for these conditions.
