Environmental Health and Safety Regulations II
- W (Formerly EHS201) SHS201 will summarize the regulatory and legal requirements associated with the Federal Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), Comprehensive Environment Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Toxic Release Information (TRI) and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). This course will underscore the critical impact of accurate and complete records upon the overall success of environmental and hazardous waste management programs. The basic elements of compliance auditing and examples of commonly required regulatory reports, forms, and record keeping will be introduced. Oregon's requirements will be the model presented in class whenever possible.
