Sustainable Business Practice
|
- Sp (Formerly EHS230) This course begins with a general review of the current
state of most business practices. Students are introduced to the concept of
business sustainability using the Natural Step as a framework for evaluations.
Basics of environmental management systems are discusses and applied to a
theoretical application. In class discussions will provide real world
applications. Operational costs, worker health and safety, liability, public
relations benefits, and alternative concepts to the gross national product are
covered.
