Printmaking III
|
- F/W/Sp This class is the third in a year-long sequence of studio
practices in printmaking. Students will continue to practice relief, working to
perfect the Uki-yoi carving technique, silkscreen, intaglio and will be
introduced to stone and plate lithography. The emphasis in Printmaking III is to
begin a personal exploration of imagery and to choose an area of interest
(thematic) within the scope of printmaking processes and methods. It is expected
that students in this course will be well practiced in the fundamentals of print
materials and techniques. Students will build on their imagination,
inventiveness and craftsmanship of the print. In addition, students will
explore the history of the print as an art form.
