Sculpture: Ironcasting
|
- Sp This course is an introduction to iron casting. Students will learn to
transform a sculptural form from sand mold to molten iron to finished
sculpture. Students work on an individual basis with the instructor to complete
their projects and to begin developing a personal aesthetic. The purpose of
this course is to gain a working knowledge of cast iron sculptural form,
vocabulary and history through lecture material, demonstrations of
process, visual experience, physical practice, and critical discussion.
