Sculpture I
|
- F/W/Sp This course is an introduction to the sculpture studio. Traditional
sculptural processes including modeling, mold making and construction are taught
alongside contemporary sculptural concepts of form and content. Using plaster,
clay, wood and material of your own choosing, you will learn how material and
process interrelate to create form. You will be given an introduction to
sculptural ideas and history with a view toward developing a personal form of
expression. Studio work is supplemented with practical demonstrations, slide
lectures, field trips, and critical discussions. Sequential with ART292,
ART293.
