| Admission Procedures For Under-Age Students - Credit Classes |
| Students Age 15 and Under -Initial Enrollment |
New students age 15 or under, must see the Vice President for Student Success and Enrollment Management, prior to initial registration. Students seeking to meet with the Vice President need to contact the Administrative Assistant at 503.491.7317.

Student must bring to the meeting with the Vice President for Student Success and Enrollment Management::
The Vice President for Student Success and Enrollment Management office will notify the instructor(s) in the division(s) the student is taking classes. The above information will be included in the Vice Presidents decision- making process. If the Vice President approves the admission of the student, the schedule will be signed indicating such approval. The approval will be for 12 months. The Registrars office will code the students major as RSP (Under-Age). The Vice Presidents decision as to whether the student will be allowed to enroll will be final.

Age 15 and Under – Continuing Enrollment
Returning students age 15, or under, must see an advisor in the Academic Advising & Transfer Center and obtain a signature of approval on their trial schedule prior to any registration. These returning students do not have to see the Vice President unless the student is not making satisfactory academic progress as defined by the College..

| High School Students - Students Age 16 and Older -Initial Enrollment |
Students age 16 and older, who have not graduated from high school or who have not been released from compulsory attendance, must see an advisor in the Academic Advising & Transfer Center prior to registration in any class. Determination as to whether the student will need to take the College Placement Test (CPT) will be made by the advisor, and will be based on the criteria outlined in the quarterly schedule of classes for all MHCC students. The student must complete the High School Permission Form (available in the Vice Presidents Office or on our website at: http://www.mhcc.edu/pages/620.asp#15) prior to any registration. This form is valid for 12 months. The Registrars office will code the students major as RHI (high school student).
High School Students Age 16 and Older - Continuing Enrollment
These students follow the same registration guidelines as students over 18 years of age.

Home Schooled Students - Any age Home-schooled students will follow one of the specific procedures as outlined above. |
| Students under Age 18 - Released from compulsory attendance |
| Students under 18, who have been released from compulsory attendance, must submit the “Release from Compulsory Attendance Form” to the Admissions & Records Office. This form is obtained from the student’s resident high school district.
Note: These students follow the same guidelines for admission and registration as students over 18 years of age.

| Enrolling For Non-Credit Classes |
Any student under the age of 18 may take Community Education classes, regardless of age, without special approval of MHCC staff. However, their parent or guardian must sign a Release Agreement for Potential Injury or Liability Form. This form is available in the Executive Deans Office. This form will be kept on file in the Registrars office.
