• A message from MHCC regarding changing deadlines and dates due to the weather

    Dear Students,
    Due to the inclement weather and closures we will be moving some important deadlines and dates. We have taken into consideration the impact of the closures this week and have mapped out a number of scenarios to move deadlines for faculty/staff/students in an effort to allow additional time for Attendance and Participation and disbursement of Financial Aid. The following changes will be implemented to allow sufficient time for this processing.

    • Financial Aid will be disbursed on Friday January 20th
    • The last day to add or drop a course will be Monday January 23rd 11:59 p.m.
    • The bookstore refund deadline will be extended to January 23rd

    5 week courses (1st five weeks)
    Deadline to drop was Wed 1/11- We will be extending this deadline to Monday January 23rd, by 11:59 pm

    11 week courses-
    Deadline to drop was Sunday January 15- we will be moving this deadline to Monday January 23rd by 11:59 pm

    Monday January 23rd will serve as the refund deadline for students wanting to drop courses. Students will need to drop themselves from the course they wish to drop by 11:59 pm on the 23rd or will be responsible for the charges.

    For students who have not attended a course this term due to the closure, please check your Saints email account for messages from your faculty to ensure you are communicating with them and fulfilling any requirements they may have for you. When we reopen, please make sure to connect with your faculty and ensure you are in the course and registered prior to the Monday deadline. Important; if you drop a course after Financial Aid has been paid, you may be required to pay these unearned funds back to the college.

    We understand that this change may have an impact on you and encourage you to connect with available resources on campus, such as Barneys Pantry, and externally to 211 for community based support. We will additionally be extending the ability for students to purchase items from the bookstore and will ensure healthier food options are stocked up for purchase.
