Mt. Hood Community College’s Athletics department recently welcomed a new head volleyball coach, Kristina Crivello. Crivello served as assistant coach under former head coach Kim Lissinna, who recently resigned to work at Saint Michael’s College, a Division
II school in Vermont.
Head Volleyball Coach Kristina Crivello Crivello is a 2009 graduate of Reynolds High School, where she competed in volleyball and track and field. She also played two years of collegiate volleyball at Linn-Benton Community College and two years at Warner Pacific College. She possesses an
associate degree in exercise and sports science from Linn-Benton and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Warner Pacific. She will complete a master’s degree at Concordia University this year.
“As a Reynolds graduate, Coach Crivello is familiar with our area, and she understands the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) as a former athlete at Linn-Benton,” said Dr. Kim Hyatt, MHCC athletic director and dean of Health, Physical Education,
Athletics, Aquatics and Recreation. “She’s benefited from some outstanding mentors in the sport, and she brings to us excellent energy and a true passion to see our students succeed.”
Hyatt also praised the progress the team made under Coach Lissinna. During Lissinna’s two years as head coach, MHCC Volleyball competed in the 2017 NWAC Championships, marking the team’s first appearance in the championships in three years.
