Mt. Hood Community College welcomes two new food service vendors to its Gresham Campus this fall.
The Riverview Café began offering hot and cold food and beverages at the Vista Dining Room café on Monday, Sept. 22. The café will be open Monday – Friday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving fresh pastries baked in-house; made-to-order chopped salads;
stir fry and udon noodle bento bowls; and burgers, sandwiches, pizza and other items. Riverview will serve breakfast daily until 10:30 a.m. and lunch beginning at 11 a.m. The café will also offer catering services to on-campus events.
The Riverview Café is owned by MHCC benefactors Junki and Linda Yoshida, owners of the Riverview Restaurant in Troutdale. For more on the Riverview Restaurant, visit riverviewportland.com
Black Rock Coffee Bar will begin selling coffee and food items at the former Reader’s Cup café in the library as early as the second week of October, according to Clay Geyer, Black Rock franchise co-owner. When the location opens, customers will be
able to order coffee and food from the new service window located between the library entrance and the MHCC Public Safety office. The coffee bar will maintain the same hours as the MHCC Library: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday – Thursday; 7:30 a.m.
to 5 p.m., Fridays; 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturdays.

operating on campus. Over the summer, food carts by Frickin Fried Chicken, Krazy Kokonut, Big Fat Weiners, and Tamale Boy visited the Gresham Campus.
