• 2021 Drive-Thru Commencement Ceremony

  • Mt. Hood Community College is hosting a drive-thru graduation procession for our graduates on Saturday, June 12, 9:30am - 2 p.m. The health and safety of our graduates and their guests is of the utmost importance to us. We will follow the advice of public health officials to host a safe but joyous socially distant event. Communication in multiple formats have gone out to all students who submitted a graduation application. If you have not received information, please email gradceremony@mhcc.edu for assistance.

At the event, graduates will arrive in cap and gown and have the opportunity to:

    • Have their name announced
    • Get their diploma cover
    • Walk across the stage to Pomp and Circumstance
    • Get a professional graduation photo taken
    • Be congratulated by President Lisa Skari
    • Be celebrated by MHCC Board Members, faculty and staff
    • Guests of the graduates will watch the graduate from inside their car directly in front of the stage, and MHCC faculty and staff will line the route to cheer you along the way.

    Drive-Thru Commencement Vehicle Limit

In order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic through the parade route and ensure that all graduates have access to the procession in a safe and effective manner, only one vehicle per graduate will be allowed in the Drive-Thru commencement event. Buses, RV's, trailers, and other types of vehicles are not allowed. Graduates who are driving themselves can park and then walk across the stage. Students who do not have a vehicle can take public transportation to the MHCC campus and then be taken through the event in a shuttle.
