This regulation refers to audio visual (AV) and multimedia equipment owned and / or managed by Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) and applies to all staff, students or visitors using this equipment. Persons who are given access to MHCC's AV / multimedia equipment are expected to abide with this regulation. Violations of this regulation may result in loss of AV / multimedia privileges, disciplinary action up to and including dismissal or legal action where applicable.
- Appropriate Use
- As with other College resources, the AV / multimedia equipment is made available to faculty, staff and students to further the teaching, learning, service and extension goals and mission of the College. Use of the College's AV / multimedia equipment is intended to be in furtherance of such goals and mission. Individuals may not use AV / multimedia equipment for any activities other than those that are sanctioned by the College. No personal use of AV / multimedia equipment is allowed.
- Faculty and staff are granted the privilege of exclusive use of the AV / multimedia equipment during an agreed upon day(s) and time(s) on a first-come, first-served basis with scheduled classes taking precedence over staff-related and outside group activities.
- It is the end users’ responsibility to ensure the safety and security of AV / multimedia equipment that has been checked out to them. Loss or damage of the equipment due to negligence or misuse may result in loss of equipment privileges or other disciplinary action
- AV / multimedia equipment is made up of two groups of equipment:
- Multimedia Room Equipment that consists of equipment permanently associated with a particular room and typically is not removed from that room.
- Audio Visual Equipment that consists of portable equipment which can be requested to be delivered to a particular room for some event or presentation.
