Construction of permanent or temporary buildings and structures must be approved by the president before being referred to the Board for approval. Construction includes new buildings and structures as well as any addition, alteration or modification to the external appearance of any building or structure. Designs for such projects must achieve functional objectives, be in harmony with the surroundings and complement the natural beauty of the site.
All recommendations affecting buildings and structures will include the following:
- Description of function and purpose;
- Description of scope of project and statement of work;
- Duration of need and estimate of permanence;
- Plan to complete project, indication of who will do construction, timetable;
- Indicate manner or method of funding;
- Substantiated cost estimate of project.
