Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) is dedicated to an open, free society and welcomes the general public to all its locations. However, the College is an educational institution and this primary mission takes precedence over all other activities. For this purpose, the MHCC District Board of Education has adopted Board policies and administrative regulations regulating speakers on campus and representatives of organizations not associated with the College.
Individuals not enrolled as students nor employed by the College are welcome on campus, whether they have particular business to conduct or not, so long as their presence does not interfere with the orderly operation of the College. Since administrative regulations pertaining to student discipline do not apply to visitors, any interference with the orderly operation of the College will be referred to public safety and/or civil authorities.
- Gresham Campus Public Safety Personnel
The Gresham Campus public safety personnel are responsible for controlling public access to all campus locations and will regulate public access in accordance with the following:
- All campus locations will be open during regularly scheduled class hours and approved special events.
- All campus locations will be closed from 12:00 midnight to 6:00 a.m. each day.
- All campus locations will be closed on legal holidays except for approved special events.
- All campus locations may be closed for weather or other emergency situations.

- The riding of bicycles is restricted to paved roads and sidewalks. Bicycles must be walked on any sidewalks near buildings or in any area where they are a hazard to pedestrian traffic. Campus public safety personnel are instructed to take appropriate action to enforce the above regulations including arresting trespassers who refuse to leave the campus

This regulation establishes procedures for the proper utilization and control of parking lots.
- Parking is allowed only in properly designated parking spaces for motorized vehicles and motorcycles.
- Reserved parking is by permit only issued through the president’s office.
