    “Program need is based on local, regional, state, and national statistics and forecasts documenting that an employment demand for family wage occupations is not or cannot be met through existing programs.” (OAR 589-006-0300) 

    MHCC seeks to identify new programs, modify existing ones, and review, revise, and develop courses to meet the evolving needs of the community and region.  Involvement in the development of new programs and curriculum includes the Oregon Department of Education (ODE), the Office of Community Colleges and Workforce Development (CCWD), the Office of Degree Authorization (ODA), the chief academic officer, Curriculum Committee, deans, faculty and staff.
