“Besides my Dad, Dale Stebbins (MHCC baseball head coach, 1977-1999) had the biggest impact on my career. When I was done playing after high school, and without any college offers to play, Coach Stebbins called me August 1, 1984, and convinced me to try out for the team. Needless to say, he saw something that others didn’t, and I had two pretty good seasons playing for MHCC before getting drafted to play professional ball following my sophomore year.”
