Learn How to Become a Member of Alpha Alpha Theta

Welcome to the official webpage of MHCC’s Alpha Alpha Theta, local chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma, the National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society. Achieving academic excellence in foreign languages opens the door to a world of opportunities, and we're here to celebrate and honor those achievements.

To join Alpha Mu Gamma, the requirements are straightforward and rewarding. Earn a grade of A for at least nine credit hours in any of the following foreign languages: Spanish, Japanese, French, German, ASL, or English in IECC, right here at MHCC. Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better, and you can become a proud lifetime member of our esteemed society.

As a member, you'll unlock a host of benefits, including access to scholarships, participation in national conventions and regional conferences, and exclusive newsletters. But that's not all – Alpha Mu Gamma members are encouraged to actively engage in the National Foreign Language Week celebration, a vibrant event held annually during the first week of March.
