    Camp Descriptions

    Week 1- Exploration
Summer is finally here! Start it off right with an adventure sampler of outdoor activity both on campus and off. Explore and enjoy traditional summer camp games and crafts, with swimming each afternoon and a field trip on Thursday to a nearby hiking location. This is a great introduction to the Mt. Hood Community College summer camp experience.

    Week 2- Imaginarium
Our Imaginarium summer camp is an energetic venture that will invite campers to use their imaginations to design unique and original games and crafts, a hands-on experience to explore creativity. Experience a wide range of imaginative activities and put inventiveness into action. Spend the afternoons cooling off in the pool after a fulfilling day of creating fun. This week will also offer a Thursday field trip to the Portland Children’s Museum.

    Week 3- Safari
SAVE with a 4-day camp. This week's theme explores the world of animals! Experience and learn about our animal friends through fun crafts and activities, plus cool off with open recreation swim in the afternoon. With a field trip on Thursday to the Oregon Zoo, it all adds up to 4 days of fun! Join the safari or you’ll be sorry!

    Week 4- Wacky Sports
This week's theme explores a variety of sports with a wacky element! Campers will also get to work out their creative side with different sports-related crafts. Campers invent their own new wacky sport and then cool off at open recreation swim in the afternoon. Add in the Thursday field trip to a round of Glow Golf and score big in wacky fun!

    Week 5- Wet and Wild
This camp marks the midpoint of the summer and this week’s camp promises to be wild, fun, and, a guaranteed WET adventure! Play water-inspired games and create art projects with a wet and wild twist, the perfect way to cool off on a hot summer’s day. Thursday’s field trip is a wild water park adventure at North Clackamas Aquatic Park.

    Week 6- Super Heroes
Calling all Super Heroes! Get in touch with the inner super hero and heroine, with fun games and crafts designed to bring out the super power in each of us. Campers will invent their own super hero names, choose their super abilities, and make it all come to life with costume design, cape making and short original comic strips. Thursday’s field trip is G6 Airpark, where the campers will get to test their soaring skills. Come save the world with us!

    Week 7- Silly Science
No better way to kick off the first full week of August than with silly science. Campers transform into silly scientists who will not only witness crazy cool experiments but also will do their own. This hands-on week of science will consist of science related games, experiments, and crafts, followed by an afternoon swim to wash off any slime or goo. OMSI is Thursday’s ultimate science destination!

    Week 8- Artful Antics
Our Artful Antics camp is designed for the artist in all of us. Art immersion is the name of the game, with ice cube painting, rubber mallet paint splat, and nature-inspired art. Swim in the pools each afternoon, with the chance to play on the floating obstacle course. Skate World, a perennial camper favorite, is Thursday’s field trip. Get drawn to art with us!
