Board Policy: 7040
|
Board of Education (BE) Approval: 3/8/06 |
The College will delineate in the College Catalog, Schedule and the College website the student rights regarding educational records under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other related state and federal laws and statutes.
As an institution of higher learning, Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) exists for the exchange of knowledge and skills, the development of students and the general well-being of the community it serves. Free inquiry and free expression are indispensable to the attainment of these goals. As members of an academic community, students at MHCC should be encouraged to develop the capacity for critical judgment and to engage in a sustained and independent search for truth.
Student rights and freedoms will be delineated in the Student Code of Conduct (administrative regulation 7040-C).
