Work With Us In-Person or Online.
In Person Writing Help: On the MHCC Gresham campus, upstairs above the library in computer lab AC3333. You can join us at the hours listed above for "on campus."
Online Writing Help: You can send an email to writing.tutor@mhcc.edu, any time. We will plan to help either on Zoom conference or through email. A staff member will reply during open
hours. Follow the steps below.
- Send an email to writing.tutor@mhcc.edu and include:
- A subject. Example: “Writing tutoring.”
- Your name and 6-digit MHCC ID.
- The course and instructor name.
- The type of assignment.
- The assignment due date.
- Your goal for how the tutor can help you. Example: “I need help revising my thesis” or “I need help understanding the assignment.”
- Send to Writing.Tutor@mhcc.edu
Note: We prefer that you use your Saints email address. Let us know if you are unable to access it at this time, and we will help.
- Check your email frequently for a response from a writing tutor.
You can also make your own appointment by using our Online Scheduler.
Note: We cannot "edit" or change a student paper or assignment for them. We will talk with you or make written comments to you about your paper or assignment for improvements. We may ask you questions that will help you write
a better paper and become a better writer or English language user.
We want to know what is working well or needing improvement to our online or in person services. Please send any comments to the area coordinator (Lawrence.Gilius@mhcc.edu). Thanks for your patience, and we look forward to supporting your learning!
