Course Description:
This course is designed to provide students with the fundamentals of computer security, and to help prepare for the CompTIA Security+
exam. It covers material related to general computer security concepts, communications security, infrastructure security, basics of
cryptography and operational/organizational security. Students gain knowledge in capturing, analyzing and generating IP traffic, how to
exploit protocol weaknesses and examine defensive solutions. Packet filtering, password policies and file integrity checking are also
covered.
