Meet with dozens of representatives from multiple industries at Mt. Hood Community College’s Fall Career Fair, held Thursday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Gresham Campus.
Find your next job or career at MHCC’s Fall Career Fair. The Fall Career Fair offers an exciting opportunity to build your network and learn about new industries and jobs. There’s also the chance to test out your resume and polish that elevator pitch, according to Jennifer McNeil, MHCC’s student career
development coordinator.
“If you’re looking for that next step forward in your career, or even just exploring what opportunities are out there, this is the place to do it,” said McNeil. “We’ll have representatives from numerous industries, including healthcare, manufacturing,
government, shipping and transportation, and recreation, just to name a few.”
“And these organizations are hiring for all different types of positions,” she added, “including full-time career jobs, and seasonal and part-time positions. You can really expect something there for everyone.”
All are welcome to attend the Fall Career Fair. Students at all stages in their programs should attend to learn about job opportunities in their respective fields. Community members interested in regional organizations and positions will find plenty
of information at the career fair too.
If you plan to attend, have several copies of a current resume with you, suggested McNeil. Also, practice “pitching” yourself – including your career goals, work history, and skill sets – with friends and family. MHCC students can receive career planning
assistance at the Career Planning and Counseling Center, located on the Gresham Campus in Room AC1152.
