BA131 :  Introduction to Business Computing

Students learn introductory skills in computer software applications (level one of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) for business documentation, data analysis, and database creation, storage and retrieval. This course utilizes an online learning and assessment system to achieve proficiencies relevant to future coursework and employment.
Prerequisite: RD090, WR090 and MTH020, each with a grade of "C" or better; or placement above stated course level. Students should have experience with computers, the Windows operating system and the Internet. Students must have access to a PC with current Windows operating system, current version of Internet Explorer, Chrome and FireFox Web browsers, modem and high speed Internet connection. Students should have keyboarding skill of 20 words per minute or more.
