BT121 :  Keyboarding Principles

Information technology proficiency can be gained with touch typing skills. This beginning course in keyboarding is appropriate for those students with no previous keyboarding experience. The course covers the basic techniques of the touch typing system for speed and accuracy using a computer keyboard and software. Make documents look professional by learning about the most commonly used letter, memo, report and table styles encountered in the classroom, business or personal settings.
Prerequisite: RD090 with a grade of "C" or better; or placement above stated course level. Familiarity with basics of computer operation is recommended. Flash/jump drive is required on the first day of class.
