• Information About Honor Regalia

  • The information below is based on commencement information for June 2019. Check back later for June 2020 Commencement information.

    Dear potential graduate,

College records show that you are on track to earn a degree or certificate from Mt. Hood Community College. Congratulations! You’ll find graduation and commencement information on the college website.

Are you planning to participate in the commencement ceremony? If you are a member of Rho Theta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, you may be eligible to wear honors regalia with the cap and gown at the commencement ceremony.

Am I eligible to wear honors regalia? Phi Theta Kappa members whose cumulative grade point average is 3.0 or higher as of the end of winter quarter may wear the gold honors stole ($26), the gold tassel ($10) and the Phi Theta Kappa key medallion ($25).

Am I eligible to wear honor cords? You may wear the double honor cords ($15) only if your Mt. Hood Community College cumulative grade point average is 3.65 or higher as of the end of winter quarter.

How can I purchase regalia? You may order these items directly from the Recognitions portion of the Phi Theta Kappa website, www.ptk.org, or you may buy them through Rho Theta chapter and save money on shipping. You may find it more convenient to pay by check or cash since credit/debit transactions will take us a bit longer.

Rho Theta will sell Phi Theta Kappa honors regalia in the college bookstore in May. We sell regalia on a first-come, first-served basis until it is all sold. Rho Theta is a student-run organization, so sales hours are limited.

    Thursday, May 9, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday, May 10, noon – 3 p.m. (in the Rho Theta office)

    Tuesday, May 21, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    Wednesday, May 22, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

If you have questions, please visit us at the small table in the bookstore during regalia sales hours or call, email or visit us in the Rho Theta office, AC 2335C in the back of the library. The officers of Rho Theta congratulate you on all your accomplishments. We wish you the best and brightest future possible.
