Information About Honor Regalia
Dear potential graduate,
College records show that you are on track to earn a degree or certificate from Mt. Hood Community College. Congratulations! You’ll find graduation and commencement information on the college website.
Are you planning to participate in the commencement ceremony? If you are a member of Rho Theta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, you may be eligible to wear honors regalia with the cap and gown at the commencement ceremony.
Am I eligible to wear honors regalia? Phi Theta Kappa members whose cumulative grade point average is 3.0 or higher as of the end of winter quarter may wear the gold honors stole ($26), the gold tassel ($10) and the Phi Theta Kappa key medallion ($25).
Am I eligible to wear honor cords? You may wear the double honor cords ($15) only if your Mt. Hood Community College cumulative grade point average is 3.65 or higher as of the end of winter quarter. This is also open to students who are not Rho Theta members but meet the GPA criteria.
How can I purchase regalia? PTK members may order these items directly from the Recognitions portion of the Phi Theta Kappa website, www.ptk.org. PTK and non-PTK member may buy them through Rho Theta chapter regalia sale page.
Phi Theta Kappa honors regalia and Honor Cords will be available through Rho Theta on the college website. You can purchase regalia through the MHCC website. All orders will be shipped to students for a flat fee of $5. To purchase your items, please visit https://www.mhcc.edu/RhoTheta and click on the link for Graduation Regalia Sales. All purchases will need to be made by June 7, 2023.
