I-Best

  • What is I-BEST?

    I-BEST is Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training.

    In the I-BEST program, you will have the benefit of two instructors who combine coursework in a small class size of 20-25 students. You will enroll in credit college classes (e.g. Accounting, Machine Tool Technology, Office) and in the I-BEST support class strengthening your academic skills.

    Each program is three terms and is offered on the Gresham or Maywood Park

    I-BEST is intended for students who:

    • Are new to college
    • Have tested below college level in reading and math
    • GED completers
    • Non-native speakers of English
    • May need extra support to succeed.

    Admissions Process and Application

    The I-BEST programs are cohort classes and limited to 20 students per program.

    Students must complete an admissions application, take a CASAS placement test, apply for FAFSA and interview to enroll.

    Basic Health Care

    Basic Health Care

    Program details:

    • Gain knowledge and skills to work in your chosen field-Nursing Assistant, Medical Intake Technician, or Sterile Processing Technician.
    • Classes are Mon-Thu, afternoon, at Gresham campus.
    • Apply class credits to higher-level health care degrees or programs
    • Scholarships and tuition assistance available to students who qualify.

    Program details:

    • For non-native English Speakers, Immigrants & Refugees.
    • 9 month program.
    • Starts Sept. 7, 2017-June 2018. Full-time, daytime-eight hours of classes, Mon-Fri. at Gresham Campus.
    • Tuition assistance and scholarships available.
