• ABE GED JumpStart

  • If you are under 18 you MUST obtain a high school release or referral from the district you currently live in. You can still attend JumpStart just no testing or orientation until the paperwork is in. If you are not sure who to contact please email me at Nikki.miller@mhcc.edu and I will email you contact information for your district.

    ABE GED JumpStart

    JumpStart is a required session that provides information for new and returning students about our adult education classes.
    During the information session:

    • Students will get a detailed overview of our program.
    • Learn about next steps for enrollment.
    • Complete entry paperwork.
    • Complete a writing assessment.

    Before attending a JumpStart session:
    If you do not have an MHCC ID, filling out a General Admission Application creates one and allows you to attend a JumpStart session.

    You must fill out the online admissions form:
    To complete it on-line*
    Go to www.mhcc.edu
    Click on the MyMHCC button (top right corner)
    Click on the Admissions tab
    Click on General Admission Application *Please complete at least 24 hours before you attend a JumpStart session.
    Paper applications are also available
    *It is important to note these sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis. If the session you come to is full, you may come to the next session offered the following week. Make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes early! We will not accept late students.
