  • The Saints are members of the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC), a compilation of thirty-six (36) community colleges in Idaho, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. As members of the Southern Region, the Saints have won numerous region championships and finished in the Elite Eight at the 2016 NWAC Basketball Championships.

Multiple players have graduated from Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) and continue their education and athletic experience at four-year programs. Many Division I programs keep watch as the Saints players develop skills and attitudes that enable both the players and the team to be successful. The Saints continue to work to recruit local players with much of the success in recent years the result of the local high programs.

The Saints teams continue the strong tradition built by previous coaches and players. The building blocks consist of strong academics, solid citizenship, and excellent basketball skills. The goals of the program are a 100% graduation rate, team unity, and striving to be the best basketball player one can be. Using a team oriented offense and defense, study halls, weight training, and community service, the MHCC Men's Basketball program develops the entire person. Student athletes who are interested in being a part of this program should contact Coach John Hawley at 503-491-7451 or by email at John.Hawley@mhcc.edu,
