• Mechatronics Program Details

  • The Mechatronics AAS program at MHCC is designed to allow students to both work and attend school. Most instructional content is delivered in a hybrid format where students complete online lectures and exercises outside of class and then come to campus to complete hands on lab exercises. This program is a great fit for students who want to combine the flexibility of learning theoretical concepts independently and still having one on one interactions with instructors in the lab environment.

Career Outlook: Mechatronics is an exciting and growing new field with lots of work opportunities available locally. Our advisory board is made up of local employers who need more skilled workers in the fields of automation and maintenance.

    Program Outline

    • The program begins fall term every year
    • The program lasts for seven terms over two years (with one Summer class that could be taken during a different term).
    • Classes are typically scheduled 8 a.m. to Noon, Monday-Thursday
    • 18 students are admitted each fall
    • Current program curriculum is available here.
    • Students earn an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Mechatronics
    • Students will also earn several industry certificates in robotics and PLC’s
    • This program does qualify for federal financial aid and scholarships through MHCC

Prospective students must satisfactorily meet program admission criteria and the application deadline to be considered for admission.
